In reality, they were no greater, or smaller, than those you’d find on any eight people picked at random from any Florida crowd.īut, after getting to know our volunteers a little better, we came to understand that, in their own minds at least, their problems were enormous. Their letters had led us to believe we’d be dealing with problems of enormous proportions. WE HAVE TO ADMIT, WE were a little disappointed when we first met our volunteers. Investing in some kind of cover-up (tank top, T-shirt, cabana shirt) isn’t a bad idea, either. The best a guy can do – in addition to cutting down on the Haagen-Dazs and renewing his membership at the gym – is find a suit that feels comfortable and doesn’t draw undue attention to his sore spots. Men’s suits offer no place to hide those most common body bloopers – the jelly belly and the hated “love handles.” They don’t do a thing for narrow shoulders, puny pecs or underdeveloped deltoids, either.
